- Payment is due upon completion of the job.
- We accept cash, cashier’s checks, and money orders.
- Payments made with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover will have a 4.35% fee.
- No personal checks or business checks.
- Please give us at least 72 hours notice if you’re canceling or changing the date of a job.
- Any reschedule or Cancellations not made 24 hours in advance will have a 3 hour minimum fee that will be charged to the card the deposit was paid with.
- We reserve the right to collect the 3 hour minimum and trip charge (if applicable) for last minute moves. A refund WILL NOT be issued if move is canceled.
- Joy’s Movers, LLC is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR BOXES NOT PACKED BY US. If a box is dropped or visibly damaged by us, we will take responsibility.
- We will not move any small electronics, e.g., IPads, Laptops, tablets. We will also refrain from touching anything of high value or dangerous items, e.g., jewelry, weapons, cash.
- For packing jobs, customers are responsible for packing their own jewelry and valuables. This has to be done before we arrive to pack.
- All IKEA type furniture and pressed board furniture needs to be emptied out before the move unless otherwise arranged with Joy’s Movers, LLC.
- We do not disassemble/reassemble IKEA type furniture or particle board furniture. If you would like to do it yourself we would be more than happy to move it for you. We will move it intact but we are not responsible for the condition it arrives in at your destination.
- Our movers will not touch any electronics that are still plugged into the wall. All electronics must be unplugged and placed in boxes before we will handle them.
- Dismounting or mounting televisions is not the responsibility of Joy’s Movers, LLC. If we are providing you with packing services we will take care of unplugging and packing electronics but not unmounting.
- All lamps must be packed prior to the move. If you have nothing to pack them with, we would be more than happy to sell you lamp boxes.
- In order for us to be able to move front loader washers we need to have the stabilizing bolts. If we do not have the bolts we will not move them.
- Connect and reconnect for washer and dryer is not included in hourly rate. See below for fee.
- Our packing services are a separate service from moving. We are not responsible to help customers pack once we arrive. We will move whatever is boxed up.
- If you need packing services please let us know ahead of time or we may not be able to accommodate last minute requests.
- Any type of glass needs to be properly packaged up by the customer or we can package it up for you for a fee. The fee will depend on the size of the piece. This includes but is not limited to mirrors, table tops, ceramic vases, ceramic pots. If you do have any of these items and they need to be packaged up we need to know prior to the move to bring the correct packing material for it. If the Items are not packed properly and customer chooses not to pay to get the items packed we can refuse to move the items in question.
- Our hourly rates are as followed:
- 2 men and 1 truck $159 per hour
- 3 men and 1 truck $189 per hour
- 4 men and 1 truck $219 per hour
- Any hourly job that takes more than 8 hours the rate will change to time and a half after the 8 hour mark:
- 2 men and 1 truck $238.50 per hour
- 3 men and 1 truck $283.50 per hour
- 4 men and 1 truck $328.50 per hour
- There is a potential steep driveway fee of $30/hr if the truck can’t be loaded/unloaded in the driveway.
- If extra hands/ vehicles are required. Rates will be adjusted accordingly.
- Pricing on more men and more trucks will be dependent on individual estimates.
- Rates will be prorated into 30-minute increments after meeting the minimum for the day:
- Monday Through Sunday || 3 hour Minimum
- Mattress plastic covers are $12 per mattress. You may purchase your own cover and we can use those. If no mattress cover is provided or purchased from us we will not put the mattress into the truck.
- Washer and dryer connect/reconnect fee $80.
- We can refuse a job if the customer is not fully packed.
- An initial $100 non-refundable deposit is required. The deposit will go towards paying the final amount due.
- ALL hourly moves will have a MINIMUM of one hour trip charge depending on distance. Long distance and flat rates will get quoted accordingly.
- Packing boxes, bubble wrap, mirror boxes and tv boxes are not included in hourly rate. Customer must provide or may purchase from us.
- Any tips have to be done in cash, or a check written directly to the employee.
- For binding estimates If the contract is broken/changed in any way we have the right to charge by the hour on the job. The estimate given is based on the information provided and does not account for possible changes, unless previously discussed.
- CUSTOMER MUST BE ON PREMISES AT ALL TIMES. We will not be responsible for items left behind or not placed in correct places.
- I agree and understand that Joy’s Movers, LLC shall be the only working crew on all premises for the duration of the move. If there are any other crews such as painters, carpet/floor installers, handymen…etc we have the right to cancel the move and you will be charged a fee for same-day cancellation.
- I agree and understand that Joy’s Movers, LLC is not responsible for any broken or damaged or broken items that are not packed by us or that go missing inside boxes.
- I agree with these terms and conditions and I understand that Joy’s Movers, LLC can cancel my move if the terms and conditions are broken and I may be liable for a fee.
